Your Questions, Answered

  • Conveyancing is the legal process of transferring ownership of a property from one person to another. It covers everything from preparing and reviewing contracts, to conducting property searches, liaising with banks and real estate agents, and managing the settlement process. In NSW, conveyancing can be handled by either a licensed conveyancer or a solicitor.

  • A licensed conveyancer specialises exclusively in property law, which means we’re deeply focused on getting your property transaction right. Many solicitors handle property as one of many areas — a specialist conveyancer typically offers a faster, more streamlined service at a lower cost.

  • Timeframes vary depending on the type of transaction. For a standard sale or purchase, the process from exchange to settlement is typically 4–6 weeks. Off-the-plan purchases can take considerably longer. We’ll give you a realistic timeline at the start and keep you updated every step of the way.

  • We’re based on Sydney’s Northern Beaches and service all suburbs in the area — including Manly, Dee Why, Narrabeen, Mona Vale, Brookvale, Balgowlah, Freshwater, Collaroy, Palm Beach, and more. We also service the Central Coast, Mid-Coast, and all of New South Wales. Because we work digitally, we can assist clients anywhere in NSW.

  • When you’re buying, we review and advise on the contract of sale before you sign, conduct essential property searches (title, zoning, drainage, land tax, etc.), liaise with your lender, attend to exchange, and manage the settlement process — so you get the keys without the stress.

  • We conduct a comprehensive range of searches including: title search, land tax clearance, local council zoning certificate (Section 10.7), drainage diagram, sewerage diagram, ASIC searches (if applicable), and more. We’ll recommend any additional searches based on the specific property.
